Located from 11800 S to Bluffdale and 1100 W to 4800 W.

Riverton began attracting more settlers after 1870 when a cooperative move to build the South Jordan Canal opened widespread farmlands that were useless, barren without water.  The Utah and Salt Lake Canal built soon after Riverton shifted from a family farming community to a commercial farming area.

Now a thriving community Riverton offers its residents a full compliment of municipal services.  The high growth that Riverton experienced in recent times has insured a continues focus on supplying plentiful, high quality water for it's residents.
